Water Supply and Sanitary Connection for CORE Areas

As per BWSSB Regulation 5.1  duly filled application in duplicate in prescribed format along with photos of applicant along with sanction plan, Road cutting endorsement issued by BBMP / BDA, upto date tax paid receipt , occupancy certificate for multi storied buildings have to be submitted in respective offices of Assistant Executive Engineer, Water supply & Sanitary sub-divisions.

Then, Assistant Engineer / Water Inspector will inspect & recommend the file, AEE will sanction the domestic house service connections at sub-division office. In respect of multi storied buildings which attract prorata charges, the measurement of the building will be taken, recorded & recommended by AE & AEE, then the file will be forwarded to office of Executive Engineer / Additional Chief Engineer to sanction the file depending on amount of prorata as per delegation of powers. EE / ACE will inspect the premises & take action to sanction the file.

 

Who are eligible to get this service?

The Owner / Occupier of the building who desires to have water supply / sanitary connection to his premises are eligible to get this service.

Documents to be enclosed with the request

1. Sanction Plan of the building.

2. Upto to date tax paid receipt / Khatha

3. Road cutting endorsement issued by BBMP / BDA.

4. Occupancy certificate in respect of multi storied buildings (Buildings having 4th floor & above)

Water Supply and Sanitary Connection for CMC Areas
BWSSB as a part of commissioning of Cauvery 4th Stage, Phase 2 works, intending to provide water supply and sanitary connection in CMC areas.  The new connection application titled SAJALA is made available in all the Service Station, Sub- Division and Division of BWSSB offices in the CMC Areas and the application is also available in the BWSSB website.
All the required information’s for filling the SAJALA applications are available in the application itself.  However for some of the frequently asked queries by the consumers, the same are addressed as under.

Details of prorata charges to be paid in respect of erstwhile CMC / TMC area now coming under BBMP

a) Residential building:  having Basement, Ground & First floor upto two houses

No Prorata charges

b) Residential building: Second Floor & Above upto two houses

Prorata charges @ Rs.150/- per sqmt only for second floor & above built up area.

c) Residential building having  three & above houses irrespective of number of floors

Attracts Prorata charges @ Rs.200/- per sqmt for entire built up area.

d) Partly Residential / Partly Commercial categories mentioned vide (a), (b) & (c)

Prorata charges @ Rs.300/- per sqmt to the extent of commercial portion.

Apartment / Flats – For all dimensions of site

The property having three and more houses with plan sanctioned as apartment and or having separate ownership for each apartment / flat.

Attract prorata charges for entire built up area at Rs.200/- per sqmt in case of residential & Rs.300/- per sqmt in case of partly commercial portion.

For all dimension of sites

 

Buildings such as commercial, educational institutions, hostels, office buildings, clubs, cinema theatre & choultry etc.

 

Entire built up area attract prorata charges @ Rs.300/- sqmt.

Beneficiary Capital Contribution Charges (GBWASP charges) can be paid in all branches of the following Banks to the A/c  Nos noted against,

  1. Already paid BCC charges, is it necessary to pay it once again for getting connection?

 

If BCC charges (GBWASP charges) already paid for the property, there is no need to pay once again.  The copy of the paid receipt has to be produced along with application for sanction of water supply / sanitation connection.

  1. What is BCC charges? How much BCC charges we have to pay?

 

Beneficiary Contribution Charges (GBWASP charges).  This is one time payment towards capital contribution from beneficiaries towards the cost of the project; where in nearly 3000 KMS of water supply pipe network has been laid apart from Construction of Reservoirs. Beneficiary Capital Contribution will also enhance the project viability and help to build ownership on the part of citizens.
